The NWO executive board has awarded 17,3 million euro funding to the Netherlands Electron Microscopy Infrastructure (NEMI) proposal in the National Roadmap for Large-Scale Scientific Infrastructure of which 4,1 million euro goes to new transmission electron microscopes (TEM) at the UU Electron Microscopy facility EM Square. Marijn van Huis was heavily involved in preparing this proposal. The Minister of Education, Culture and Science, Ingrid van Engelshoven, presented the roadmap certificates at Utrecht Science Park last week. The NEMI proposal is one of ten roadmap proposals that receive funding.
