Heleen van Gog (SCM), guest researcher of Marjolein Dijkstra, won the second prize in the annual writing contest for PhD students and post-docs of the Nederlands Tijdschrift voor Natuurkunde (Dutch Journal of Physics) with her article entitled ‘Thermische stabiliteit van tweedimensionale mangaanoxides’ on quantum mechanical simulations and the thermal stability of two-dimensional manganese oxides. The prize ceremony will take place on April in Amsterdam during the FYSICA 2019 annual physics conference of the Netherlands’ Physical Society.
